Precision Signs - Brothers Jeff and Scott Balton carry on their family tradition as sixth generation sign manufacturers. In 1875, their ancestor D.F. Balton founded Balton & Sons in Memphis, TN. The company quickly gained a reputation for quality craftsmanship. Most of Memphis' billboards, theater marquees, and street signs during the early 1900's were the work of Balton & Sons. The Balton family was the manufacturer of the famous Holiday Inn sign in the 1950's. As the city grew and times changed, so did the family and business. Sign technology moved from hand painted signs to the use of plastics, neon, LCD panels, and computers. Each generation of the Balton family benefited from the experiences of the past while contributing new ideas. Precision Signs, founded by the Balton brothers in 1995, has earned a reputation for integrity and professionalism. It is a licensed and bonded sign contractor in Tennessee. The primary service area is Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi, but the company also handles national accounts. Capabilities include CAD-CAM vinyl graphics, 3-D illuminated letters, neon, LED message centers, vehicle wraps, wall, and pylon signs.
